Cool Places to Visit During IRCE From Our Chicago Partners

Looking for interesting things to do while you’re in Chicago for IRCE 2018? It’s a big town so we asked our local partners to help pare down the list of cool places to visit, eat, and play.

Matt Moog & Alex Rosen – PowerReviews

Divvy Bike – Grab a Divvy bike and go for a ride on the lakefront

Avec – (On Randolph) Amazing French country cooking and communal tables.

Small Cheval – The fast-casual cousin of the famous Au Cheval, Small Cheval is a fast-paced joint servicing a stripped-down menu of the essentials, shakes, craft beer, cheeseburgers, hamburgers, and fries.

Maple & Ash – Maple & Ash is an innovative take on the traditional steakhouse, mixing a modern aesthetic with authentic service to deliver classic wood-fired dishes. The menu is crafted by the two-Michelin-star chef, Danny Grand, and the wine program named one of "America's Best" by Wine Spectator.

Cindy's – Perched within a vaulted glass and steel rooftop atrium recalling the train depot that once lived across Michigan Avenue, Cindy's is a must. Amazing drinks and a spectacular view of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan.

Jennifer Kijek – Dynamic Yield

Lou Malnati's – I was never all that crazy about Chicago deep-dish pizza—until my husband introduced me to Lou Malnati's. Don't be deceived by others claiming they invented Chicago pizza—this is Lou's town. Order the butter crust and stop by booth #1234 to thank me (not yell at me for the extra few pounds you might be carrying post-pizza).

City Winery – That's right, Chicago has a working winery. Great wine and music, but the real winner? The burrata. Stop by the Chicago Riverwalk location, enjoy the view and great big ball of cheese. And yes, you can stop by again to thank me.

Tyler Mullen – Kensium Solutions

Ballast Point Brewing  – (Located in the West Loop) A Brewery with a tasting room for beer lovers.

IO Theater - The theater teaches and hosts performances of improvisational comedy. Most of the comedians perform at IO Theater and Second City.

Chicago History Museum – Celebrating the “Spirit of Chicago” current exhibitions include “Amplified: Chicago Blues” and “Remembering Dr. King: 1929-1968”.

Chicago Architecture Boat Tour – Has probably been mentioned in years past, but it is really cool.

Flight Club – A bar for dartboard lovers

Ace Bounce – A bar for ping pong lovers (Next to Flight Club)

While you’re at the event, stop by Magento booth #729 to say hello or schedule an on-site demo, and sign up for Magento Straight Talk Sessions, June 6-7. See you in Chicago!
