Expanding the Experience at Imagine 2019
May 29, 2019
A record-breaking 3,500 attendees from 65 countries heard the call to “Expand the Experience” at Imagine 2019.
Gary Specter, VP of Commerce Sales & Customer Success, set the tone in Monday night’s keynote: “We’re seeing changes in the way people shop and the way they interact with brands. Customer expectations are rising, and their expectations are that the experience will be personal, and you’ll meet people where they are and whenever they want.”
Magento + Adobe: Changing the World Through Digital Experiences
Creating experiences that are personal and shoppable is at the core of why Adobe acquired Magento last year. With a strong commerce product, supported by a vibrant global community, Adobe is now uniquely positioned to deliver on it’s mission of helping customers change the world through digital experiences.
“Magento has brought many strengths to the Adobe family, and we are committed to nurturing and building on these strengths,” said Gloria Chen, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Growth at Adobe. “Magento brings a culture and a mission that fit Adobe like a glove. At the core, we are empowering people. ”
Chen continued: “…I believe we are on the verge of another exciting inflection [point] with platforms and intelligence fueling a new wave of experience-driven commerce.”

More Robust Integration with Amazon
Building on the launch of Amazon Sales Channels in Magento 2.3, Woosley announced an expanding collaboration with Amazon that enables Amazon sellers to build branded stores on Magento Commerce to build direct relationships with customers. With access to tools including Amazon Pay and Fulfillment, merchants can tap into the secure payment experience and trusted, speedy shipping options that Amazon offers.
“Small and mid-market businesses are taking direct ownership over how they manage customer experiences to differentiate, grow, and build loyalty,” Woosley said. “Our work with Amazon empowers this large community of sellers to get closer to their customers while saving them time and money on development.”
Highlights of PWA Studio Magic
One of the most important avenues for commerce growth is mobile, and PWA Studio makes it easier than ever to meet that demand.
John Stockton, Senior Director of Product highlighted the newest integration of Braintree payments into PWA Studio and also highlighted some of the Magento Solution Partners building PWA sites including the innovative PWA experience that Creatuity built for Rural King. The Rural King PWA extends the core functionality of PWA Studio with additional integrations with Page Builder and Magento Order Management:
