The Magento Guide to Barcelona
August 20, 2018
One of the world’s most important financial and cultural centers, Barcelona is home to nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites and has been named one of the most beautiful cities in the world. If you’re joining us for MagentoLive Europe 2018, there are a lot of attractions to choose from, so we asked some of our local Magento team to share a few of their favorite places.

Bunkers de Carmel
By far my favorite spot in the city! See the sunset while watching over the city of Barcelona! This place is a hidden spot and not well-known to tourists.
FC Barcelona game
Visit Camp Nou, one of the largest football stadiums in the world home to the famous Barca. The Barca team is known for the best football one can imagine and some of the most legendary players in history played and still play in this team. Let me know if you need tickets.

La Bota del Raco
If you want to test Catalan food in a typical restaurant, I will highly recommend going to la Bota del Raco. They have a menu during weekdays for 20€ that is pretty amazing! I have been there several times with friends from a different country in the world and they all have enjoyed it!
If some people are into hiking, I can be a guide on the weekend to do a hike in Barcelona going from the university to El Tibidabo, around 2-3 hours of walk, with an amazing point of view of Barcelona, need to be in good shape some part can be hard.
Corentine Rivoire – Customer Success
The Collage is a cocktail bar located at the heart of central Barcelona, in the Born area. Hidden from the crowds, you can enjoy a wide selection of premium alcohol and original drinks. For the more daring, the staff is always open to crafting something special to your tastes.

Parc del Laberint
If you insist on staying in Barcelona, then visit the Parc del Laberint. This is a great family spot

Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site
Visit the art nouveau hospital [Hospital de Sant Pau] near Sagrada Familia [both are UNESCO sites]. The perfect recipe for helping patients to fully recover and learn about how we could improve our quality of leaving in a city. First Sunday of the month free entrance.

Jazz evenings at La Pedrera
For those loving Jazz and architecture, visiting La Pedrera (one of the most emblematic buildings designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudi), and enjoying their Jazz concerts on the roof terrace is an amazing experience. You can visit the building first, and then go to the roof, have some drinks and enjoy the jazz concert in an incomparable scenario. There used to be a queue to enter, so it is important to go with time in advance prior to the concert.
See you there!
