Expanding Magento Certification Program Accessibility
September 26, 2016
Magento certification was created as a way to support our developer community with training, and also to help showcase developer expertise in working with Magento. We are so excited that there are now more than 6,000 certified Magento professionals worldwide, helping retailers achieve their business goals!
After delivering over 1.5 million training hours, today, we are happy to announce that we are now partnering with Kryterion to deliver Magento certification exams so that we can certify even more developers!
Why are we making this change? Partnering with a leading provider in online exam proctoring is the first step in preparing for the next wave of Magento certification exams. Their rapidly expanding network of on-premise test centers will enable us to offer even more exam options. While our initial rollout will only include on-premise testing, we will be adding the online delivery channels in short order! Candidates will now have more options available when it comes to taking a Magento certification exam.
As part of this program update, we are also enabling certified individuals to generate and print their certificate right from their Magento account. So you no longer have to wait for the postal service to deliver your official certificate! If you already have a Magento certification and need a copy of your certificate, you can log into your Magento account and find it on the certification tab.
There are a few items that you need to be aware of as we make this change. Kryterion will start accepting exam registrations for Magento exams on October 1, 2016. Any vouchers already purchased (and not already used) will need to be exchanged for a new voucher. We will be reaching out via email in the coming days to provide new voucher codes.
We will be posting periodic updates through Twitter and Facebook during this transition period, and If you have any specific questions, encourage you to email us at: email@example.com
