It’s difficult to believe, but it’s already time for the third year of Magento Masters, a program to recognize top contributors in our ecosystem. Today we reveal three of this year’s members who were selected as Movers.
Movers are Magento’s top advocates and ecosystem thought leaders who have demonstrated their expertise in driving innovation through Magento solutions. They are influencers in the industry in delivering best-of-class Magento implementations and advocate for Magento at industry events.
I am thrilled to introduce you to our Movers for the 2018 Magento Masters program:
Community Developer, Nexcess
For the last six years, Miguel has traveled the globe working remotely from more than 35 countries as a senior developer for some of the biggest Magento projects while presenting talks about OSS and performance. Since joining Nexcess, he has helped to spread the word and maintain Magento 2 as a community maintainer among other open source initiatives.
Miguel was selected as a Magento Master for 2018 based on his 2017 contributions to the Magento 2 core on GitHub while also being a GitHub Maintainer, Magento DevDocs, and extensive speaking engagements educating the ecosystem on the Magento 2 Command Line Interface.
eCommerce Evangelist, Something Digital
A luminary in the Magento community, Phillip Jackson has been developing Commerce solutions since 1998. With over 15 years of experience creating unique online customer experiences, he has both built and managed Magento installations for some of the world’s most recognizable brands. Phillip is the organizer of the Magento SoFla Meetup, hosts Nomad Mage and hosts the successful podcasts Magetalk, Future Commerce and Merchant to Merchant, with over 50,000 monthly listeners. He is co-host of SD Office Hours for Magento—a bi-weekly webinar answer LIVE Q&A about the Magento platform and ecosystem.
Phillip was selected as a Magento Master for 2018 based on his 2017 contributions through organizing the South Florida Magento Developer Meetup, moderating and answering questions on Magento StackExchange, co-hosting of the community podcast MageTalk, and speaking about Magento and at Magento-centric events.
