Last week we introduced you to the 2019 Magento Masters Movers, Mentors, and Makers. With the goal of giving recognition to new Magento Masters candidates, while still recognizing those who qualify for Magento Masters year over year, we’re introducing a new category of recognition starting this year: Qualified Alumni. Qualified Alumni are those who have already been Magento Masters three times but qualify in the top twenty contributors for that year. This allows us to spotlight additional top contributors in this ever-growing community as we will continue to have twenty Magento Masters as well as any Qualified Alumni.

eCommerce Evangelist, Something Digital
A luminary in the Magento community, Phillip Jackson has been developing eCommerce solutions since 1998. With over 15 years of experience creating unique online customer experiences, he has both built and managed Magento installations for some of the world’s most recognizable brands. Phillip is the organizer of the Magento SoFla Meetup, hosts Nomad Mage and hosts the successful podcasts Magetalk, Future Commerce and Merchant to Merchant, with over 50,000 monthly listeners and is co-host of SD Office Hours for Magento—a bi-weekly webinar answer LIVE q&a about the Magento platform and ecosystem.
Phillip was selected as a Magento Master for 2019 based on his 2018 contributions organizing the South Florida Magento Meetup, co-hosting MageTalk and SD Office Hours, helping to form the initial Magento Association, and a variety of speaking engagements at Magento hosted or Magento-centric events.

Vinai has worked as a Magento developer since 2008. He has been active in the community from the beginning as a speaker, author, mentor, and trainer. He is a member of the Magento Community Advisory Board and has been invited into the Magento Masters program every year since it started in 2016. He wants to make Magento and Magento Developers successful. He is passionate about software development, family and finding friendship across the globe.
Technical Lead, Sure B.V.
Passionate about e-commerce, Magento and coffee. Nothing gets Sander as excited as a technically challenging e-commerce project in which he can collaborate with different teams to realize the vision behind the project. Although he does also get a pretty big kick out of organizing Magento events and getting the community together to learn from each other.
Sander was selected as a Magento Master for 2019 based on his 2018 contributions organizing Magento User Group Groningen, Magento User Group Zuid-Holland, the Rotterdam location for Distributed Contribution Day and Meet Magento Netherlands, as well as co-hosting the Dutchento podcast.
CTO, Veriteworks Inc.
Hirokazu Nishi is CTO of Veriteworks Inc, working as a web application developer and infrastructure administrator for more than 10 years. Since 2007, Magento has been one of the most important parts of his life. His next goal is to grow more Magento addicted developers.
Hirokazu was selected as a Magento Master for 2019 based on his 2018 contributions on GitHub, in addition to organizing Meet Magento Japan, Magento Meetup Tokyo, educating the Japanese Magento community on the Principleworks blog, and a variety of speaking engagements at Magento hosted or Magento-centric events.
Magento Evangelist, Wagento Creative LLC
Brent is the Chief Magento Evangelist and Architect at Wagento Creative. He is a Magento Master and a Certified Magento Specialist. Brent has been involved in the Magento community and Magento Forums since early 2009. He organizes Meet Magento India, Mage Titans Austin, and Mexico City as well as the BigDamRun before Imagine. Brent is constantly struggling to learn Spanish. He loves to run, bike, and ski, in that order. He is often found at Magento events organizing running meetups with his wife, Susan.
Brent was selected as a Magento Master for 2019 based on his 2018 contributions organizing Meet Magento India, Mage Titans Austin, Mage Titans Mexico, Meet Magento Mexico Contribution Day, and the Magento Meetup Twin Cities, educating the community on the Wagento blog, helping to form the initial Magento Association, and a variety of speaking engagements at Magento hosted or Magento-centric events.

Kuba is a father, kayaker & trail runner. He graduated from university with a Master’s degree in Geography and Digital Weather Forecasting, working for a long time as freelance front-end and PHP developer (MCFD, MCSS). Kuba is also Founder and CEO of SNOW.DOG, commerce and mobile group. He is passionate about open source technologies, “internet of things”, clean energy ("hydrogen economy") and other tech innovations that are changing the world. Kuba is Organizer of 7 editions of “Meet Magento Poland” conference and a proud Magento Master (Maker) in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
