Thank You to the Top 50 Contributors in 2017
February 2, 2018
In 2017, the Magento community created over 1,600 pull requests to Magento 2, presented over 750 talks on Magento or at Magento-centric events, produced over 200 podcast episodes centered around Magento, organized conferences and meetups in over 40 different countries, wrote books about Magento, contributed to official product documentation, wrote countless blog posts to raise awareness and educate, and they answered thousands of questions on both StackExchange and the Magento Forums.
Now that you’ve met the 2018 Magento Masters (Movers, Mentors, and Makers), we also felt that it was important to recognize the top 50 contributors from 2017. Keep an eye out for great contributions from these community members and be sure to thank them for all they’ve been doing!

Update on Magento Masters for 2019
With the goal of giving recognition to new Magento Masters candidates, while still recognizing those who qualify for Magento Masters year over year, we’re creating a new category of recognition starting in 2019: Qualified Alumni. Qualified Alumni are those who have already been Magento Masters 3 times but qualify as the top 20 contributors for that year. This will allow us to spotlight additional top contributors in this ever-growing community: the 20 Magento Masters as well as any Qualified Alumni. As always, Qualified Alumni would need to requalify each year to maintain this new title of recognition.
