Sell Makeup Magento Gives Charlotte Tilbury a Make-Over
Charlotte Tilbury needed a platform with beauty…and brains to sell makeup.
As the world’s number-one makeup artist with a career spanning over 20 years, Charlotte Tilbury was ready to launch her own line of designer cosmetics and sell makeup online. She needed a beauty eCommerce website with a responsive design that reflected her style and offered a beautiful, mobile friendly experience. It was important that the new site have easy bundling tools for a variety of shop-the-look options.
But that’s not all. Charlotte Tilbury also needed powerful content marketing capabilities and multi-site/multi-store functionality including product search, email, wish list, reviews, gift cards, and full page caching.

With the right tools, you can turn heads... and sell makeup with ease
Charlotte Tilbury partnered with Solution Partner Space48. The Space48 team collaborated closely with the Charlotte Tilbury branding team to deliver a responsive website that met their requirements, using Magento Commerce.
Linking into the company’s Brightpearl ERP, the build made the most of the core Magento features. Animations and video tutorials for every product and look were integrated to help showcase the brand’s sophisticated products. Added integrations with SLI for search, dotmailer for email, and Ometria for marketing helped increase the site’s customer experience.
Perfect for every occasion. Whether you sell makeup or home decor.
The new Charlotte Tilbury cosmetic website was completed in just four months. It was ready for the launch of her cosmetic line at London’s famous store, Selfridges, in September 2013.
The site handled the peak traffic of the high-profile launch with ease, and has delivered fabulous year-on-year results. The UK success even encouraged the company to expand to the US in September 2014 and to launch in Canada in June 2015.
